About the Role:
Do you have a passion for IT and customer service? We are looking for a Service Desk Operator to join our growing IT support team. As the first point of contact for technical issues, you will provide first-line support, troubleshooting IT problems, and ensuring that user requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries and issues.
* Log, track, and resolve incidents or escalate them to the appropriate team.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and network issues.
* Provide guidance to users on IT best practices and available self-service options.
* Work closely with managed service providers to resolve technical problems.
* Ensure timely updates and communication to users about their service requests.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions within the IT service management system.
* Contribute to the knowledge management database to improve first-time fix rates.
About You:
* Experience in a customer-focused IT support role.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems and Office applications.
* Knowledge of networking, telephony, and end-user hardware support.
* Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* A team player with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
