Pain Management Outpatient Nurse – NHS Hospitals

SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Pain Management Nurse to support specialist outpatient pain clinics within NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in chronic pain pathways, patient education, and multidisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting consultant-led pain management clinics
* Conducting clinical assessments & reviewing pain history
* Managing patients with chronic pain conditions such as:
* Neuropathic pain
* Musculoskeletal pain
* Post-surgical pain
* Fibromyalgia & complex regional pain
* Supporting interventions including:
* Steroid/nerve block preparation
* TENS education
* Medication reviews (in collaboration with prescribers)
* Providing patient education (self-management, pacing, lifestyle adjustments)
* Supporting telephone/virtual follow-up reviews
* Accurate documentation within EPR systems
* Working collaboratively with Consultants, Physiotherapists, HCAs, and Pain Specialists
Requirements
* Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)
* Minimum 1 year’s experience in pain management, MSK, chronic illness, or similar
* Strong communication and patient engagement skills
* Ability to manage sensitive, complex patient needs
* Outpatient experience beneficial
* Confident working autonomously in a clinic setting
* Must have the right to work in the UK and live in the UK
