Calderdale & Huddersfield Solutions Ltd offers an exciting opportunity for an entry-level apprenticeship in Healthcare Science Clinical Engineering at NVQ Level 2.
The post holder will primarily perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a wide range of medical devices. They will also participate in device supply, repair, calibration, safety, and acceptance testing. The role requires working to high standards of safety and accountability, providing up-to-date technical information on medical devices to clinical staff. Initially, duties will be under direct supervision, progressing to limited supervision upon competency, all in accordance with departmental and national policies.

Role Responsibilities
The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinical engineers within the Clinical Engineering & Decontamination Service. Responsibilities include:
* Identifying devices requiring maintenance
* Detecting faults and repairing equipment, often in clinical or ward areas and sometimes collaborating with manufacturers and their agents
