* Location: Largo, FL
* Status: Full Time
* Shift Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm
* Weekend Work: 3 on 1 off
* On Call: No
Responsibilities
The Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for:
* Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
* Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
* Referring specimens to outside laboratories
* Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
* Performance of phlebotomy procedures
* Performs other duties as assigned
Credentials
* Driver's License in the State of Florida
* Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians)
* Or ASCP
* Or AMT (Medical Technologists)
* Or Paramedic
* Or EMT (Emergency)
* Or Medical Technologist
* Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain
* Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida
* Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida
Education
* Required High School or equivalent
Experience
* 6 months in lab support and 6 months BayCare related -
Required
* 1 year of lab support -
