Eliot Community Human Services is known for our innovative clinical approach, high quality clinical training & for having the most talented people in community behavioral health services. Eliot’s Mental Health Division provides integrated and comprehensive services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that are evidence based, provide rehabilitation & hope to those in services.
The Respite Program Director oversees and coordinates all services for consumers in the program. A successful candidate will have leadership experience as well as having worked in similar environments with adults having severe and persistent mental illness.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the day to day operation and overall service delivery of the Respite Program.
* Coordinate and oversee all case management related services for consumers.
* Ensure development and facilitation of IAP’s (Individualized Action Plans).
* Obtain appropriate inspections and maintain a system to monitor facility needs and issues.
* Administer and monitor consumer medications.
* Supervise staff members in providing interventions to consumers as stated by their current IAP.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field
* At least 4 years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
* Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
* Must have the skills to establish supportive relationships with adults with mental illness who may be homeless, may have significant legal issues, may be transitional age, may be elders, may have problematic sexual behaviors, may have histories of violence, may not be taking medication and may be in crisis.
Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8am‑4pm with on‑call responsibilities
