About The Role
At OCS Group, we are recruiting Furniture Porters, who will be responsible for the delivery of all furniture requirements and support the FM Support Manager in completing daily tasks relating to the operation of the whole furniture setup. You will be working on a variable shift pattern, 06:00 to 16:00 OR 18:00 to 06:00, on a casual basis; this is a 0-hour contract that covers day and night shifts. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health & Safety, & personal hygiene.
2. To set all venue furniture to the plan issued for each event, ensuring all furniture is in perfect condition.
3. Ensure all services are delivered safely in line with all OCS operating standards, reporting all accidents & dangerous occurrences to your supervisor.
4. Respond to standard and occasionally nonstandard requests from internal clients and suppliers.
5. Ensure the upkeep, storage, and maintenance of all on-site furniture.
6. Checking and maintaining all areas of responsibility and monitoring & record breakages.
7. Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all back-of-house areas & furniture stores.
8. Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal & informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas, & that morale remains high.
9. Ensure that all furniture requirements are delivered and managed to OCS standards & the client’s expectations, delivering exceptional service to all visitors.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
10. Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
11. Ability to use own initiative & confidence to make quick decisions
12. Computer literacy & good knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
13. Excellent organizational and communication skills
14. Analytical problem-solving skills, with strong attention to details
15. Able to be flexible in meeting client demands regarding availability, and work hours including weekends, public holidays, and evening work as required
