We are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant for our client, a local company in the Oldbury area. As a Finance Manager, you will be faced with a variety of duties to ensure a smooth running of the financial side to the business.
Main Responsibilities
Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
Manage post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
Budgeting and forecasting
Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the team.
Leading year end accounting responsibilities.
Managing end to end audit process of current systems – while acting as the point of contact for external auditors.
Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Management accounting experience required.
Syteline
Computer literate – with a good knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
Strong communication (verbal and written)
Strong attention to detail, organised and results orientated.
Drive and ambition with a can-do attitude
Financial control principles
Knowledge of manufacturing / Commercial environment
Good communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships and be influential and positive.
Other Requirements
Ability to manage conflicting priorities, organised and methodical.
Ability to support other front office teams with administration in planning, system updates
