Role & Responsibilities
The role includes operations and maintenance of the Labware LIMS and Empower applications, continuous improvement of business operations, compliance alignment, vendor coordination, system updates and license management, as well as second‑level support and knowledge‑base creation. You will also manage projects, provide technical leadership in global IT and compliance initiatives, and drive optimisation projects in partnership with vendors.
What You Will Do
* Provide timely and effective support to internal customers – ensuring satisfaction and anticipating needs (10%).
* Ensure reliability, availability, and security of systems/technologies under your management (10%).
* Adhere to ITIL/ITSM frameworks and document processes to increase efficiency (15%).
* Compile technology‑related documentation for GxP, validate and test critical IT technologies, and approve validation documentation (10%).
* Manage or contribute to IT projects, keeping them on schedule and within budget (10%).
* Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers (10%).
* Oversee day‑to‑day operations, guiding up to three direct reports (10%).
* Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture within the team (10%).
* Establish KPIs to measure success and drive continuous improvement (5%).
* Provide regular reports and updates to senior management (5%).
* Support and administer any applications added to the Technical Operations QC IT group portfolio (5%).
Qualifications And Experience
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline (required).
* 5+ years of experience in IT within the pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of Computer Systems Validation (required).
* 5+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating leadership in team and project management (required).
* Proven experience designing, installing, testing, and administering IT systems (required).
* Experience with Labware LIMS and Empower applications (required).
* Pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
* Experience managing IT projects (required).
Preferred For The Role
* Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Labware LIMS or Waters Empower Administration) are desirable.
* Experience working in QC and QA processes is an advantage.
