Protocol Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to work in specialist school in North Leeds. This role is perfect for someone who understands that progress looks different for every child, and knows how powerful calm, consistent support can be.

The Role

You’ll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping create safe, structured, and engaging learning environments where every child feels seen and supported.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Planning and delivering personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs
* Supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and complex needs
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
* Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
* Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour with empathy and confidence
* Creating a calm, inclusive classroom where pupils can thrive

Requirements

To apply, you’ll need:

* QTS or strong experience working within SEND settings
* Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
* Confidence adapting lessons and approaches to suit individual learners
* A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach
