Hays is currently working with a reputable M&E contractor based in Leicestershire. As a result of high quality work and market-leading expertise, this client has secured many projects and is looking to expand their workforce to deliver these projects on time. This client predominantly focusses on M&E building services across a variety of sectors includingmercial, retail, residential and public sector.
Your new role
As a Mechanical Project Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all mechanical operations
2. Take a project from receipt of order to end of defects period
3. Must be able to financially oversee and run the project
4. Carry out procurement of materials, plant and subcontractors
5. Manage variations of subcontractors and up to the client
6. Project cost reporting
7. Project programmes
8. Project progress reports
9. Quality audits and sign-offs
10. Write RAMS for our work, assess RAMS for subcontractors
11. Write-up test packs
12. Put together O&M and mark up record drawings
What you'll need to succeed
13. Ideally, 7/8 + years of experience working for a contractor as a Mechanical PM
14. Strong Mechanical Building Services knowledge
15. Able to get a design and run jobs from start to finish.
16. Aware of design calculations (not full design requirement)
17. Able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining goodmunication
18. Successful track record of delivering large-scale projects
19. Qualification in Mechanical / Project Management is preferred
20. Experience of supervising large teams, subcontractors and other vendors
