A great outpatient facility is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team for a contract assignment.
Position Overview
The PTA works under the supervision of Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists, using physical treatment procedures to improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury. Techniques include massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and other exercises.
Requirements
1. Associate's degree from an accredited school.
2. Current state license or actively in the application process for licensure as a PTA.
3. Current CPR certification.
4. Provide skilled physical therapy services according to physician orders and under supervision.
5. Implement and modify treatment plans under supervision.
6. Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
