We're on the hunt for a National Account Manager to join us at our HQ in Bristol. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, independent and family run company and to grow with it as we develop the business.
We are seeing some heavy and exciting growth at the moment, and this is a great opportunity for someone looking to join an exciting and forward-thinking brand
What are we looking for?
We're looking for a standout National Account Manager to join our Retail Team and take the lead with some of the biggest retailers in the UK.
If you've got a background in FMCG — especially in food — we'd love to hear from you.
But if food isn't your thing (yet) and you've got the skills, drive, and commercial know-how to make an impact, don't let that stop you. Just tell us in your cover letter about the projects, campaigns, or experiences that show why you're right for the role.
You'll be joining a brilliant management team who are all about challenging the norm and finding better ways to do things. So, if you're someone who gets fired up about doing things differently, this is the place for you.
And of course, you've got to love food. We're obsessed with great ingredients, cracking recipes, and bringing people together over seriously tasty food — it's at the heart of everything we do at The Jolly Hog.
Who are we?
Once upon a time, there were three brothers...
A rugby player, a ship-broker and a cabinet-maker.
After a heated debate about the perfect pork sausages, the brothers decided to settle the argument by creating their own porky delights.
Fast forward to 2025, we now have a range of pork products in Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Waitrose, Ocado, Coop, Morrisons, Asda and Gousto, with no plans on stopping there.
We also own Pigsty, our restaurant based in Bristol's buzzing Wapping Wharf, and take our food on the road with mobile catering at some of the UK's biggest events — including Glastonbury, Winter Wonderland, and Goodwood
Responsibilities
* Managing our retail accounts and delivering an exceptional level of service to our customers.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across the business and with key retailers.
* You'll play an active role in commercial decision-making
* Creating and owning customer account plans, including forecasting and JBPs
* Developing tailored promotional plans for each retailer
* Spot and develop new opportunities within our category — always thinking about how we can do more (and better)
* Feeding insight back into the business and helping us level up
* Reviewing performance regularly across all key retailers and reporting this back to the business
* Keeping your finger on the pulse of industry trends, customer behaviours, and competitor activity
What are we looking for?
* A true love and passion for food and the industry is a must
* You will be a people person, who can confidently talk about the brand to various stakeholders
* Solid experience as a NAM
* Someone well versed with a fast paced, ever-changing market
* Commercially astute – great with numbers and reporting
* FMCG/grocery experience
* Preferably experience in food
* Highly organised and exceptional admin skills
* Strong project management skills
Important things to note
* We are not about being second best. We want someone with that same passion for and commitment to excellence.
* We're in the office Monday to Thursday, with Fridays as a work-from-home day. As a small and collaborative team, being in together during the week helps us bounce ideas around, make quick decisions, and keep the creative energy flowing.
* We are a small, family run business. We don't do politics
* This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business, with big plans for the future. The person in this role will be fundamental to our growth plans.
* You must be a self-starter. You will have the support of a fantastic HQ team, but as we are such a small team you will need to be comfortable working independently from the get-go.
