Radiotherapy Late Effects Navigator

Job Overview
The purpose of this role is to support the team developing and delivering care to patients with late onset side effects from their radiotherapy treatment. You will play a pivotal role in triaging, recording and tracking patients along their pathway, whilst communicating with patients and escalating information appropriately.
Main duties
* Serve as the main point of contact for the Radiotherapy Late Effects team.
* Coordinate high‑quality patient care following approved tools and procedures.
* Liaise with wider clinical teams to derive useful data for the service.
* Assist in producing reports for department meetings and regional commissioning.
* Responsible for the day‑to‑day housekeeping of the Late Effects service, ensuring information is dispatched to patients, and results are recorded and available on hospital systems.

Qualifications – Essential
* GCSE Maths and English
* Advanced keyboard and IT skills
* Evidence of CPD
Qualifications – Desirable
* NVQ Level 3 in health
* Communication Skills training
Knowledge – Essential
* Excellent understanding of health data and data protection issues
* Willingness to improve knowledge and undertake learning and development courses
* Experience of multi‑professional working
* Experience of working effectively and autonomously
* Experience of data entry and computer skills
* Experience in coordinating a patient workload
Knowledge – Desirable
* Previous NHS experience
* Previous Oncology experience
