About the Young Person:
* Working at Key Stage 1 level
* Diagnosed with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and ADHD
* Experiences emotional dysregulation and anxiety, especially in new social situations
* At risk of exclusion and in need of a nurturing, consistent adult relationship
* Interests include gaming and reptiles - perfect for building rapport through shared passions!
As an AP Tutor you will:
* Deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 sessions aligned with the KS1 curriculum
* Foster a safe, trusting environment that supports emotional regulation and confidence
* Use creative, flexible approaches to learning that respect the young person's needs and interests
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure consistent support
About you:

+ Experience of working with learners with SEMH needs, PDA, or ADHD
+ Skilled in trauma-informed and relationship-based approaches
+ Calm, adaptable, and empathetic
+ Able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule

Full time/part-time - Opportunities for both
Hours - 12 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time with additional tuition opportunities
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide references upon request
* Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
