AGR are working closely with our Algerian-based client to recruit a Contracts Supervisor to join its team on a 28/28 rotational basis.
About the role:
This role will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining all aspects of the site contracts process from tendering, contract award to post contract administration.
This is a key role open to candidates who have ideally worked in North Africa or the Middle East based in remote locations.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* To oversee 5 Contract Engineers and ensure appropriate processes are followed and assist with any issues that may arise within their team
* Assist and improve Contract Award & Contract Management processes and procedures
* Prepare, issue and review documentation to evaluate potential suppliers
* Review & audit supplier contracting documentation for Compliance purposes
* Continuous push for closure of contracting activities by the Dept
* Manage his own set of high-value contracts
* Problem-solve to find solutions for contracting issues and terms negotiations
* Responsible for Contract Dept metrics (open requisitions, duration metrics)
* Assist in any needs for Commission des Contrats
* Streamline Contracts Department activities by implementing improved techniques
* Respond to site issues between End Users and contractors (contract administration)
* Assist with on-going implementation of SAP – ideally become a trainer for the team

Work Experience:
* Should have good all round Supply Chain Experience, and a good working knowledge of International Oilfield Vendors
* Significant experience of Contract Management in large, international, complex supply chains
* Demonstrable experience in team leadership and mentoring/coaching of less experienced team members
* Good command (fluent) of spoken and written English, French and/or Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
* Good communicator with ability to work with personnel at all levels
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management or similar, OR Engineering/technical discipline with significant SCM experience
