We now have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Senior Independent Travel Trainer within Children and Young People s Services. About the Role As Senior Independent Travel Trainer, you will play a key role in designing, delivering and developing our borough-wide travel training offer for children and young people with SEND. You will: Lead the delivery of a two-tier training model group-based programmes in schools and one-to-one personalised training. Support young people to develop the skills and confidence to travel independently on public transport and walking routes. Supervise Travel Trainers, ensuring quality and consistency across the service. Deliver accredited training to staff in schools and settings to support curriculum-based learning. Contribute to EHCP reviews and transition planning by providing professional input. Promote the service through schools, families and community engagement.
