Construction Manager
Location: Aldermaston (Minimum 3-4 days on-site per week required)
Hours: 9-day fortnight pattern (Mon-Fri alternating weeks)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Construction Manager to join our Project & Programme Services team and lead the safe and successful delivery of complex construction activities. This is a high-profile opportunity to work on regulated, high-hazard projects within a collaborative and innovative environment.
As a Lead Construction Manager, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure all on-site works are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. You will also contribute to project strategies, promote safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with CDM and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor project deliverables against standards and expectations
* Lead H&S forums and initiatives during construction
* Oversee on-site activities, logistics, and resources
* Support project delivery with risk, change, schedule, and quality management
* Maintain safety, design integrity, and procedural compliance
* Collaborate with architects, surveyors, engineers, and stakeholders
* Participate in design reviews, planning, and contract discussions
* Mentor junior team members
* Build relationships with stakeholders and partners
What We’re Looking For
* OND, HND, Degree, or equivalent in construction, engineering, or related field
* Chartered or working towards membership with a recognized professional body
* Experience managing works in nuclear or similar high-regulated industries
* Ability to lead teams and engage with senior stakeholders
* Knowledge of health and safety laws, CDM regulations, and construction practices
* Skills in site coordination, logistics, and compliance
* Experience in operational documentation and planning
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Working Pattern
Follow a 9-day fortnight with alternating weeks:
* Week 2: Mon–Thurs (8.25 hrs/day), Fri off
