Due to our continued expansion, we're seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to Steve Williams, Managing Director of RED Optimal, you'll lead our operations and manage our network of subcontract installers to deliver exceptional quality across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Operations
* Take over day-to-day project management from handover by Steve Williams
* Provide national coverage with willingness to travel to sites across the UK
* Put together Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs) for all projects
* Liaise with RED Teams across the Group to ensure project coordination
* Work with Steve Williams on material ordering and procurement
* Procure subcontract labour to meet project requirements
* Negotiate and agree subcontractor rates with Steve Williams
* Manage subcontractor interim payment processing including variation sign-offs
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure all installations meet current fire safety and building regulations
* Conduct monthly safety inspections and address potential issues
* Stay current with industry regulations and best practices
Client Relationships
* Act as primary point of contact for clients post-project handover
* Drive consistent service delivery excellence across all sites
* Set and maintain clear expectations around programme, quality, and safety
What You'll Need
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in SFS installations (essential)
* Experience in drylining installations (beneficial but not essential)
* Experience in commercial project management and cost control
* Health & Safety qualifications (SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card)
* Experience managing subcontractor relationships
