Who You Are You are a dedicated and compassionate professional committed to managing youth justice cases in adherence to National Standards and the HMIP Inspection Framework. With a focus on the "Child First, Offender Second" approach, you are passionate about supporting children and young people to lead crime-free lives. You prioritize equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practices in all aspects of your work. What the job involves The role involves managing a caseload of youth justice cases, both out of court disposals and statutory court orders. You will use AssetPlus as an Assessment and Planning tool, emphasizing trauma-informed practices. Collaborating with children, young people, families, and partner agencies, you will deliver evidence-based interventions to reduce the risk of offending. You will also prepare various reports for courts and referral panels and represent YJTPS in court proceedings. Your work will involve ensuring the safety of children and young people as well as the wider community through effective engagement and interventions. Skills Effective communication with diverse stakeholders Strong case management and organizational skills Experience with AssetPlus and trauma-informed practices Ability to prepare comprehensive reports for legal and correctional systems Understanding of equality and anti-discriminatory practices Collaboration and partnership working
