Our Change, Culture and Engagement (CCE) team helps companies to do things they haven’t done before. We support businesses with people‑centred change, such as aligning teams during a merger, operationalising new strategy, building a culture that sustains competitive advantage, supporting new leadership, and more. Our approach is people‑focused and research‑based, drawing on the latest thinking in industrial sociology, organisational design, engagement, organisational psychology and corporate culture.
Role
As a Director you’ll be responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to clients, playing a pivotal role in key, high‑profile account teams, offering strategic counsel to senior clients, providing insight and analysis across our business, and proactively developing additional business opportunities with existing clients and prospects. You will mentor Senior Consultants and Consultants and collaborate with Managing Directors and Senior Managing Directors.
Key Skills and Experience
* Managing projects in complex business environments
* Advising a variety of stakeholders
* Presenting complex ideas to internal and external audiences
* Interest in people and how they operate in organisations
* Strategic recommendations based on data and knowledge
* Delivering a project from prospect to completion
* Experience in change communications, change management, culture or employee engagement
* Facilitating workshops
* Writing and delivering new business pitches
* Managing timesheets, budgeting and billing
* Consultancy experience
* Experience in a large, complex multinational organisation
* Academic training in psychology, political science, human resources management, statistics or economics
Business Acumen
* Navigating the media’s business pages with an analytical lens
* Knowledge of different sectors of the economy
* Managing juniors and wider teams
* Managing upwards
* Strong numeracy skills, including balance‑sheet work
* Understanding of Boards and corporate governance
* Knowledge of ESG, DEI, ERGs, TUPE and OD
Client Management
* Overseeing junior team members on major projects
* Managing reports back to the team and the client
* Leading day‑to‑day liaison with clients alongside senior leadership
* Understanding and addressing clients’ strategic challenges
* Creating compelling, concise and professional presentations for clients
Team
* Managing and prioritising workload across multiple projects
* Keeping senior leaders updated on progress and opportunities
* Managing junior colleagues, ensuring clarity of expectations
* Strategic decision‑making experience
* Passport and willingness to travel internationally if required
* Leads on shaping client account direction and generating new business opportunities
* Experience from another consulting firm or environment
* Comfort working in international and multi‑disciplinary teams
Qualifications / Additional Skills
* Degree or equivalent level in a related field
* 10–15 years of experience in a comparable role
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Reliability and trustworthiness
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
* Curiosity, adaptability and resilience
