Food Technology Teacher Job Title: Food Technology Teacher Location: Great Missenden Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time Supply Desk is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Great Missenden, seeking an engaging Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department from September. This is a full-time position with full teaching responsibilities across Key Stages 3 and 4, running until at least December 2025. About the Role: Plan and deliver dynamic, hands-on Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Take full responsibility for all aspects of classroom teaching, including lesson planning, marking, and assessment. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures enthusiasm for cooking and nutrition. Encourage creativity and independence in food preparation while promoting safe and hygienic kitchen practices. Demonstrate strong classroom management and build positive relationships with students. Work collaboratively with the wider Design & Technology team to enhance curriculum delivery and share effective teaching strategies. The ideal candidate will: Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Specialisation in Food Technology or Design & Technology, with a strong focus on food. Recent experience teaching in a UK secondary school, preferably within the Food Technology subject area. In-depth understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Food Technology curriculum. Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively and inspire students across a range of abilities. A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
