Account Manager | Food Manufacturing | Customer Focused Role
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday

A growing food manufacturing business is looking for a proactive and people focused Account Manager to join their Commercial team. This role plays a key part in building strong, long term customer relationships, ensuring excellent service levels and supporting revenue growth across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, issues and order updates
* Build and maintain strong relationships through regular customer meetings and clear communication
* Manage customer expectations by providing accurate updates on orders, timelines and business activity
* Resolve customer issues and complaints, escalating internally where required to ensure timely resolution
* Work cross functionally with Production, NPD, Logistics, Procurement and Sales to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full
* Support production planning by relaying customer forecasts, requests and scheduling information
* Work closely with Sales and Account Owners to provide consistent communication across all aspects of the account
* Develop a strong understanding of customer needs to identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts
* Support quotation activity, NPD reformulations and pricing where required
* Process sales orders and develop strong working knowledge of internal systems
* Track KPIs, customer satisfaction and account performance to drive continuous improvement

Your Background
* Experience in a similar account management, customer service or commercial role
* Strong people skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
* High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* Comfortable working cross functionally and managing multiple priorities
* Confident using Excel and business systems
* Analytical mindset with the ability to manage reporting, pricing and cost considerations
* A proactive, solutions focused attitude with strong communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
