I am working alongside an incredible biotech company looking to grow their current team of computational Physicists who want to drive forward groundbreaking innovations. You will play a crucial role in building this team, inspiring and collaborating in multi-disciplinary environments to increase HITs in drug discovery, striving for excellence!
We seek an individual with extensive industry experience to provide innovative solutions and strategic approaches within their team.
Your responsibilities will include optimizing and developing physics-based computational methods in drug discovery programs, ensuring these methods effectively accelerate the identification of new drug candidates.
We are looking for a leader with expertise in computational physics, computational chemistry, and statistical mechanics, capable of providing technical, insightful, and impactful strategies while managing a team of scientists.
Key responsibilities include:
* Mentoring and leading a team of scientists focused on physics-based computational methods
* Integrating strategies using free energy calculations and physics-based models into drug discovery pipelines
* Providing technical leadership in statistical mechanics, molecular dynamics, computational chemistry, and free energy
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as AI researchers, medicinal chemists, and computational chemists
As a leader, you will communicate scientific insights and provide recommendations to key stakeholders, ensuring your team delivers high-quality results on time and fosters a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Additional skills required:
* Experience with machine learning applications in physics-based modeling
* High-performance computing and cloud-based simulations
