Role Overview
Lead Nurse/Midwife – Quality Improvement and Standards. Join the Corporate Nursing team for a 12‑month fixed‑term/secondment (2 posts). Work pattern: Monday to Friday with hybrid and flexible work options supported in line with service needs and policy.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional leadership to support high‑quality, safe, and effective nursing care.
* Lead and contribute to standards and assurance activity.
* Work collaboratively with clinical and professional colleagues across the system.
* Support the delivery of national and local priorities, ensuring care is person‑centred and evidence‑based.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Professional nursing or midwifery credentials with strong credibility.
* Ability to influence and lead across teams and services.
* Experience in quality improvement or standards is desirable.
* Must hold a PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult); if not, a new application to Disclosure Scotland will be required.
* Valid UK work permission.
* Eligibility for the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme as required by new legislative changes (effective 1 April 2025).
