Hiring a Locum Consultant Dermatologist
We are seeking a Locum Consultant Dermatologist holding a Diploma in Dermatology or an equivalent qualification, capable of assisting with the triage of dermatology referrals. Pay rate: £2500 per day.
Position Details
National Locums is currently hiring Consultant Dermatologists and SPR/Associate Specialists to cover the following areas:
* Minor operations
* Biologics
* 2-week wait clinics
* WLI and patient backlog clearing
Pay rates range from £800 to £2500 per day. Most work is private clinic-led, with payments made via limited company, umbrella, or self-employment. The contract duration is from 3 months up to 1 year.
Responsibilities
* See general dermatology patients referred by GPs, undertake investigations, diagnose, and recommend treatments.
* Refer patients back to GPs with management advice when appropriate.
* Refer patients for specialist opinions (Senior Consultant Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon, or Dermatology Nurse) when necessary.
* Support dermatology nurse specialists through joint patient reviews and case advice.
* Perform diagnostic biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, and cautery procedures.
The successful candidate will have nursing support during clinics.
