Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market! Vacancy Details In the Maintenance Engineer position you will ensure the correct maintenance of all Severfield’s machinery within the Commercial and Industrial Division at Lostock, Bolton. You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and machinery, communicating downtime effectively with the production team to help allocate resources and minimise disruption. Other Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To Responding swiftly to unexpected machinery breakdowns to restore operations safely and efficiently Understanding the operating procedures of all equipment and their role in the production process Making recommendations to reduce downtime and improve processes Recommissioning machines post-repair and identifying parts required for smooth operation Completing relevant permits to work and adhering to Health & Safety procedures Using Shire software for maintenance tracking and reporting To be successful in this role you will need to be educated to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or time served with either electrical or mechanical qualifications as well as 18th edition electrical qualifications for electrical role. With substantial experience using similar equipment such as overhead cranes, CNC machines, general planned maintenance and use of Shire software.
