We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts within both Beauty and Non Beauty segments. This role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities with retailers, design firms, and other relevant stakeholders.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail environments, fixtures, (e.g., store fixtures, displays, counters), the full design and implementation process and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This position requires a Sales Hunter with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, capable of developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand our market presence.

Responsibilities

* Market Analysis & Strategy:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscapes within the retail sector, covering both beauty and non-beauty segments. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share in the retail casework space.
* Lead Generation & Qualification:
Proactively identify and generate new sales leads through various methods including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and leveraging existing contacts. Qualify leads based on strategic fit and potential for both beauty and non-beauty casework solutions.
* Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at retail companies, design firms, architects, and general contractors involved in both beauty and non-beauty fixture projects. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their needs and providing tailored casework solutions.
* Sales Presentations & Proposals:
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of our retail casework products and services for both beauty and non-beauty applications. Effectively communicate technical specifications and design concepts.
* Negotiation & Closing:
Lead the negotiation process to achieve mutually beneficial agreements and successfully close new business deals for both beauty and non-beauty fixture projects.
* Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction across all project types. Additionally, collaborate with the Innovation team by providing insights and feedback gathered from potential customers to drive the development of custom and innovative casework solutions.
* Reporting & Forecasting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts, differentiating where necessary between beauty and non-beauty opportunities. Provide regular reports on progress against targets and market insights to the leadership team.
* Industry Engagement:
Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities within both the beauty and broader retail sectors. Attend relevant industry events and conferences to network and build brand awareness.

Key Deliverables

* Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets for the retail casework market, including both beauty and non-beauty projects.
* Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across both beauty and non-beauty segments.
* Secure new business wins with target retail clients and related stakeholders for both beauty and non-beauty fixture needs.
* Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key accounts involved in both beauty and non-beauty projects.
* Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports, potentially segmented by project type.
* Contribute to the development and execution of the overall business development strategy for the retail sector, encompassing both beauty and non-beauty applications.

Qualifications

* Proven business development or sales experience, specifically within the retail, fixture, or casework industry, with exposure to both beauty and non-beauty projects preferred.
* Strong understanding of retail environments, store design, and casework manufacturing processes relevant to both beauty and non-beauty applications.
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.

Pay range and compensation package

c.£50,000 pa + Car Allowance + Company Bonus
