The Role
Vision for Education is recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join a large, well-established secondary school in Southampton with immediate and ongoing cover needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where you’ll play a key role in ensuring learning continues smoothly when teachers are absent. You’ll deliver pre-prepared lessons, keep pupils engaged, and maintain a positive learning environment.
This role suits aspiring teachers, graduates, or anyone with experience working with young people who is seeking flexible work, valuable classroom experience, or a pathway into teaching.
Responsibilities As a Cover Supervisor:
Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Manage behaviour and support pupils in staying on task.
Work closely with school staff to maintain high standards.
Build positive relationships with students and staff.
Requirements For a Cover Supervisor:
Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.).
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Confident, adaptable, and able to think on your feet.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
