Job Title: QTS SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Trafford)
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
Pay Rate: GBP30 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week
We are currently seeking a QTS SEN Tutor to join our team in Trafford. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and those working below expected levels. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored one-to-one GCSE Maths and English tuition for SEN learners.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual emotional, social, and academic needs.
Support students in developing core subject knowledge, study skills, and exam confidence.
Create a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment that promotes engagement and progress.
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, or professionals where appropriate.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
Experience working with SEN students in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE in Secondary Education.
Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
