Service Desk Analyst vacancy in Gloucestershire (279DM)

Mission

- As a Service Desk Analyst, you’ll be on the front line of network defence and performance — ensuring system uptime, responding rapidly to incidents, and strengthening the backbone of the company’s digital operations.


Key Responsibilities

* Monitor, analyse, and maintain network performance and availability.
* Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents — escalating when necessary.
* Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
* Maintain accurate network documentation and operational readiness.
* Assist with configuration, patching, and upgrades of network devices.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, reliable connectivity.
* Participate in the 24/7 support rota (where applicable).


What You Bring

* 2+ years’ experience in network operations, NOC, or similar technical environments.
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, and switching.
* Experience using enterprise‑level monitoring tools.
* Familiarity with ITIL processes.
* Sharp analytical skills and a calm, logical approach to troubleshooting.
* Clear, confident communication — written and verbal.
* Adaptable, proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in dynamic situations.
* Organised and mission‑focused with the drive to see every task through.


Preferred Qualifications

* Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL.
* Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Basic scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell).
* Exposure to cybersecurity monitoring.
