About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our Wastewater team based in Dublin or Cork.
The role involves planning, programming, coordinating, and leading hydraulic modelling and network analysis for specific projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of outputs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Plan, programme, coordinate, and lead hydraulic modelling and network analysis for specific projects.
* Provision of specialist hydraulic modelling inputs into projects.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
* Coordinate and deliver model build, calibration and verification of hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM and in accordance with client standards.
* Deliver model assessments and support optimal solution design related to SWO and flooding compliance.
* Coordinate and deliver scoping, procurement, and delivery of surveys necessary for model development.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation.
* Support the technical development of others in the team.
* Undertake client liaison.
* Keep up to date with latest developments in hydraulic modelling technology and best practices.
* Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
* At least 8 years of experience in hydraulic modelling for wastewater and surface water systems.
* Strong technical skills in hydraulic modelling software, ideally InfoWorks ICM, with experience with MicroDrainage and Bentley software.
* Experience in the use of InfoAsset.
* Strong GIS knowledge with experience in QGIS, MapInfo, and ArcGIS.
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
* Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Strong technical writing skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with CFD, Water‑hammer modelling, EPANET, and Synergi is beneficial.
