Overview
Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a 12-year-old girl with Autism and Learning Disabilities living in the Cambuslang area.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one care and assistance within the home and in the community, including participation in social activities.
* Assist with tasks such as walking and playing in the park, cycling, and supporting participation in these physical activities.
* Use your own vehicle to meet role requirements; a mileage allowance will be paid (driver essential).
* Support the individual with a proactive and innovative approach to involvement in activities suited to their needs.
* Engage in activities such as swimming, cycling, music, sensory experiences, and socialising.
Experience and Qualities
* Experience is essential.
* Warm and friendly nature with a desire to work within a caring role.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Hours and Employment Details
* Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility).
* Recruiting for 1 position; guaranteed permanent position of 3 hours per week.
* Days and times: Typically Thursday 5pm – 8pm.
* Hourly rate: £12.60.
* Occasional weekends and evenings may be required – to be discussed at interview.
