Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England). Staff and tenants are extremely proud of Sandy Mount and everything it stands for, there has been some long standing excellent community links established such as working with the community police and local fire brigade, working in partnership with the local authority and housing provider. The tenants at Sandy mount are proud of how welcoming Sandy Mount is.
19. What activities do we to do?
Sandy Mount activities are based on feedback from tenants, we currently run groups in Zumba/Baking/Quiz/Arts and crafts/Religious celebrations/special events/peer on peer Move more often sessions.
A description of our home and what type of house is it?
Sandy Mount is a 3-story building with 42 flats onsite (single and double occupancy). Sandy Mount is purpose built and is accessible and modern.
What parking is available? Onsite carpark with 15 spaces.
