Job summary

ARP includes the management of the current Airwave contract and also several replacement programmes Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) and also the implementation of two dependent programmes "Control Room Solution" and "Mobile Data Vehicle Solutions.

We have an opportunity for a Central Service Analyst to join the Central Service Team. The successful candidate will be providing Supplier Management activities across key suppliers, throughout the life of the ARP service contract and any new future services.

This is a chance to be part of an organisation which will deliver enhanced and interoperable communications between Ambulance Trusts, the NHS, and other emergency responders.


Main duties of the job

Service Performance Reporting : The Design and regular production of reports across ARP Services to support communications and meetings to Board level and in support of the supplier review meetings and Ambulance Trust Service review meetings.

Incident Management: Including, monitoring supplier incident management activities, raising and responding to escalations and supplier jeopardy management, management of and communication across stakeholders.

Asset and Configuration Management : Maintaining the ARP Configuration Management database (CMDB), ensuring that data quality and accuracy is of the highest standard.

Change Management: Maintenance of the ARP Change log and FSC (Forward Schedule of Change), working with suppliers in the production of workplans, preparation of information and attendance at the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Emergency CAB. Owning the Supplier RFC Pack and circulating the weekly Post CAB Summary

Continuous Service Improvement: Working with Suppliers, ARP colleagues and the Central Service Managers to identify and implement service improvements.

About us

The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) is an enduring organisation directly appointed by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to provide and upgrade emergency communications for UK ambulance services.

ARP have a large team of over eighty staff consisting of commercial, finance, project, implementation, technical, user assurance and service colleagues. They are based all over the country to support the successful delivery and maintenance of a £460m programme of work. The aim of ARP is to implement new technology that provides innovation and enhances patient care with the latest equipment. ARPs solutions also play a longer-term role in preparing the ambulance service for the adoption of the Home Office's Emergency Services Network (ESN).

ARP is currently in the process of introducing an array of new technology-based services to Ambulance Trusts and Air Ambulance charities. The Services include the introduction of new technology to the national Ambulance fleet (approx. 6500 vehicles) and upgrading and developing new, data-rich communications products (apps and hardware) for use by over 15,000 frontline paramedic and Control Room staff. Overall, ARP is responsible for providing an end-to-end service covering installation, maintenance and replacement, which plays a key role in enabling effective response to critical life-threatening incidents.
