More about your role

Do you want to use your housing expertise to make a real difference to how homes are managed and maintained across the sector? Are you passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others develop the skills to provide safer, healthier homes for residents?

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of housing education by delivering courses on Damp & Mould awareness, Awaab's Law, Housing Disrepair, and Fitness for Habitation.

You'll play a key role in equipping housing professionals with the legal understanding and practical tools they need to protect residents and uphold standards across Places for People and organisations in the Housing Sector.

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential to become permanent as we expand our training and apprenticeship programmes.

What you'll do:

1. Develop and deliver engaging learning content on Healthy Homes, with a focus on damp, mould, and related issues.
2. Create practical, interactive resources and workshops that bring the subject to life for housing professionals at all levels.
3. Assess learner progress through assignments, discussions, and workplace application, ensuring learning translates into action.
4. Keep content up to date with legislation, regulation, and emerging best practice across the sector.
5. Provide coaching, support, and constructive feedback to learners to help embed lasting knowledge and confidence.
6. Contribute to the wider PfP Thrive training offer, supporting the development of future courses and qualifications.

About you:

The Essential Criteria for this role is listed below:

7. Substantial experience working within the social housing sector, particularly in roles related to property condition, building surveying, or repairs
8. Strong understanding of damp and mould issues, including health impacts and remediation strategies
9. Familiarity with Awaab's Law, housing disrepair legislation, and landlord responsibilities

If you meet the essential criteria, have the following skill sets and want to make a tangible difference, we'd love to hear from you:

10. Ideally, qualified to deliver training (e.g. Level 3 Award in Learning and Development or Teaching and Assessing, or willing to work towards it).
11. Excellent communicator and facilitator, able to engage learners with different levels of technical knowledge.
12. Confident designing lesson plans, materials, and assessments that are both robust and practical.
13. Organised, proactive, and passionate about raising standards in the housing sector.
14. Flexible and willing to travel to deliver face-to-face sessions when required.
