We are recruiting caring, reliable and emotionally attuned Residential Support Workers to jointherapeutic childrens homes, supporting children aged 510 years who have experienced early trauma.
This is a permanent rolewith lots of on-going potential.
The Role
You will play a vital role in providing children with:
* Consistent, nurturing and reliable care
* Clear boundaries, emotional safety and secure attachments
* A positive, trusted adult role model
You will work within a therapeutic, psychoanalytic and group-relations model, where behaviour is understood as communication and relationships are central to change and development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide day-to-day care, nurture, structure and emotional containment
2. Act as a Link Worker, delivering individual sessions and therapeutic special time under supervision
3. Support childrens emotional, behavioural, educational, medical and social needs
4. Create a safe, calm and therapeutic home environment
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan routines, transitions and care strategies
6. Safeguard children at all times and follow all recording and reporting procedures
