As an Employment Coach,you will be supporting individuals to progress into their chosencareer paths by providing advice, support and guidance andimplementing smart support plans, tailored to individualneeds.
Working with participants face to face,you will coach and support their journey to employment by providingemployability sessions, interview skills advice, job searchmethods, re-building participant confidence following a period ofunemployment and identifying correct interventions that will removebarriers and enable them to regain employment.
You will have monthly targets to successfullymove participants into work and have a good knowledge of the locallabour market, training opportunities and relevant support agenciesto support this. You will get to know the local employers in yourcommunity, understanding what they are looking for in an employeeand encouraging them to interview yourparticipant.
You will maintain participantrecords using the company CRM system and record regular contactwith your participants, keeping them motivated and focused for theduration of the programme.
Working withdiagnostic screening, assessments and skills analysis will becritical to the guidance you provide, allowing participants toconsider all options available to them to gainemployment.

* Experiencein providing one-to-one support or coaching and positivelyinfluencing other people's professional or personaldevelopment.
* Experience of working in theemployment and skills sector and delivering to specified targets,quality standards and compliance measures isessential.
* Experience of using motivational andaction planning techniques to manage the progression ofparticipants into sustainable workopportunities.
* The empathy it takes to engagewith all sorts of people, and the confidence to challenge them ifyou need to.
* The ability to handle complexcases at the same time in an environment where you will havetargets to achieve.
* The need to be organisedand be able to manage time effectively and ensure monthly targetsare achieved.
* Excellent communication skills,including the ability to motivate and inspireothers.
* An influencing approach, especiallywhen it comes to bringing other people around to your way ofthinking.
* The need to have a good understandingof the local and regional labour market.
* Apractical understanding of the recruitment and selectionprocesses.
* You should be comfortable to do somelocal travel, and using a range of digital channels includingphone, video conferencing and email.
* Goodadministration, IT and good experience of using MS oncesoftware.
