About the Role – Early Years Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting an enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to work across Early Years settings in Middlesbrough. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support children in Nursery and Reception, helping create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
You will work closely with class teachers, contribute to observations, assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy, and provide 1:1 or small group support where needed. This role is perfect for a passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact.
Requirements – Early Years Teaching Assistant
To be considered for the Early Years Teaching Assistant role, you must have:
1. Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
2. Experience supporting children in an Early Years setting
3. Understanding of EYFS curriculum and developmental milestones
4. A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
5. Confidence supporting children with varying needs
6. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
