Mullion andConstantine Group Practice is seeking a motivated Paramedic to join ourwelcoming GP surgery team in beautiful Cornwall. Our main site is located in Mullion, withbranch surgeries in Constantine, The Lizard & Ruan Minor. This is an exciting opportunity to work aspart of a forward-thinking multidisciplinary primary care team delivering high qualitypatient care to our local community.
Thesuccessful candidate will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, treating,and managing patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronicconditions. You will work autonomously within your scope of practice whilecollaborating closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcareprofessionals.

Main duties of the job
* Conduct face to face, telephone, and home visit consultations where appropriate
* Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute presentations and long-term conditions.
* Manage long-term conditions and provide health promotion advice
* Request and interpret appropriate investigations
* Support same-day urgent care clinics and triage services
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using SystmOne
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
* Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and service improvement initiatives
* Adhere to NHS, CQC, and professional standards and guidelines

Job responsibilities
The postholder will provide highquality clinical care across face to face, telephone, and where appropriate, home visit consultations. They will assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute presentations and long-term conditions, offering evidence based treatment plans, health promotion advice, and ongoing support for patients with chronic illnesses. The role includes requesting and interpreting relevant investigations, contributing to same day urgent care and triage services, and ensuring all clinical encounters are documented accurately and contemporaneously using SystmOne. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, the clinician will participate in clinical meetings, audits, and service improvement initiatives, while maintaining compliance with NHS, CQC, and professional standards.
The clinician must be a qualified Paramedic registered with the HCPC, with experience gained in primary care, urgent care, or community settings. Strong clinical assessment and decision making abilities are essential, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is key, as is the flexibility to travel between sites when required. A compassionate, patient centred approach is fundamental, with the capacity to adapt communication style to meet diverse patient needs and to produce clear, concise, and clinically robust documentation, referrals, and safety netting advice.
While not essential, previous experience within a GP surgery, a prescribing qualification, and training in minor illness or minor injury would be advantageous. Familiarity with SystmOne and a good understanding of local NHS pathways and community services would further strengthen the candidates ability to deliver safe, effective care within the practice.
