Responsibilities
* Play a key role in site visits, research and analysis and the preparation of drawings, including hand-drawn sketches, concept and technical drawings and technical documents.
* Prepare Landscape Appraisal and Landscape and Visual Impact assessments, presentation materials, and review relevant local, regional and national planning policies.
* Research project-specific landscape architecture issues and contribute to the planning and design process.
* Collaborate within an inter-disciplinary team; support junior team members and participate in continuing professional development through seminars and events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ambitious and creative landscape architect seeking a new challenge in a busy team.
* Working towards or recently gained CMLI status.
* Strong graphic, design, drawing, sketching and written skills; eye for detail and a methodical approach to work.
* Working knowledge of National Building Specification is preferable.
* Good time management, organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and strong team working.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently; good verbal and written communication skills.
* Willingness to expand knowledge and skill sets; proactive and ability to take initiative in daily tasks.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with more senior team members; flexibility to travel within the UK and work across projects and disciplines (architecture/urban design).
* Proficiency in VectorWorks/CAD, Microsoft Office; familiarity with National Building Specification and some or all of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator) and ReSoft WindFarm, QGIS, or willingness to learn.
