Tigh Na Muirn Care Home is looking for competent and caring individuals to provide exceptional care to our elderly residents. Full time positions available.Shift times are 7:30am to 3:15pm and 3pm to 10:15pm.

We are unable to offer sponsorship at this time.

Summary

As a Carer, you will be essential in providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Reporting to the Care Manager, your core experience in care will be complemented by premium skills in first aid, dementia care, and medication administration. You will engage with clients through effective communication and customer service, while also managing time efficiently to meet their needs. Your relevant skills in patient care and meal preparation will enhance the quality of life for those you support, making a meaningful impact in their daily routines.

Person Specification

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in a care setting is preferable but not necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

* The Candidate must have a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership before commencing work in The Home.
* Must be registered with The Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of commencement of employment.
* Must be willing to work towards a Scottish Vocational Qualification.
* Must be willing to complete The Home's online mandatory training.

* Good organisation and time management skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Be flexible and open to change.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Good customer service skills
* Possess patience and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

* Provide compassionate care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
* Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
* Monitor and document changes in residents' health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the nursing staff.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a positive care experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.60 per hour
