The role:
Are you passionate about using your skills to continue to build Porchlight’s brand and reputation, increasing stakeholder engagement and inspire our audiences in supporting us to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities?
We’re looking for an experienced professional to lead our communications team, supporting the delivery of our communications strategy.
Managing a multi-skilled team, you’ll take a hands-on approach to deliver a full range of communications activities including digital, press, stakeholder engagement and internal communications.
You’ll be an excellent writer and storyteller, leading on the development of compelling and creative campaigns to help us build positive relationships with our audiences.
What you’ll need:
* Experience of leading a communications function in a charity or non-profit organisation
* A proven track record of developing communications campaigns and content strategies across a wide range of channels
* Experience of dealing with press enquiries and managing reputational and other risks
* Excellent writing skills and the ability to identify compelling stories that will inspire and engage target audiences
Working base: Canterbury with hybrid working available
Hours per week: 22.5 - 30 hours per week (flexible working pattern available)
Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2026
