Sales Development Specialist

We're now looking for a motivated Sales Development Specialist to join us at the Jensten Group. You'll be based at our Cheadle Hulme office, with hybrid working options once settled into the role. Reporting to the New Business Manager and working closely with our Account Executives, the main purpose of the role is to proactively identify, research, and engage with Commercial Insurance prospects, supporting business growth through high-quality lead generation.


Responsibilities

1. Drive targeted generation of new business leads.
2. Conduct outbound calls to prospects, qualify leads, and book appointments for Account Executives (AEs).
3. Collaborate closely with AEs and attend regular sales and pipeline meetings to align priorities and share insights.
4. Use CRM (Acturis) to record all prospecting activity and maintain accurate opportunity data.
5. Monitor and report on call activity.
6. Support staff in identifying potential leads, researching renewal dates, and adding prospects to the pipeline.
7. Maintain and update opportunity pipeline in offices to track progress and contributions.
8. Deliver weekly reports on lead generation activities.
9. Ensure compliance with procedures, customer service standards, and regulations such as FCA.


Candidate Profile

* Excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Desire for continuous development and career progression.
* Insurance background preferred, ideally Commercial.
* Previous experience in sales or new business generation roles.
* Strong customer service and sales skills.
* Excellent telephone manner and relationship-building skills.
* Drive and passion to learn within Insurance.
* Ability to use initiative, multi-task, and update relevant systems and admin.
