The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Workshop Enigneer.
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preparation of Jungheinrich and other brand materials handling equipment, working to company quality and productivity standards. This includes:
1. Accurately diagnosing incoming work and ensuring required parts are ordered and fitted
2. Carrying out repairs, modifications, rental preparation, and PDI's using company systems (e.g., JETI)
3. Completing all work to agreed quality and time standards
4. Producing accurate inspection and defect reports
5. Managing and ordering parts and sub‑contract services when required
6. Updating company records and documentation using a company laptop
7. Observing and maintaining excellent health & safety and housekeeping standards
8. Occasional site visits where required
9. Supporting modification control activities (e.g., capacity plates)
10. Liaising professionally with internal stakeholders and support departments

Person Specification
This position is ideal for mechanically or electrically biased engineers from any maintenance or service background-particularly:
18. General automotive technicians
19. HGV engineers
20. Mobile plant engineers
21. Forklift engineers
22. Ex‑forces/military vehicle engineers
Given the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will:
23. Hold a full driving licence
24. Have experience working in a customer‑facing environment
25. Be comfortable working unsupervised
26. Possess good literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills
27. Have an engineering background or an engineering apprenticeship/vocational qualification
28. Be physically fit
29. (Desirable) Have materials handling experience
