Powder Coater Location: Buntingford Pay: £13.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience) Job type: Temp to perm Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm (training), then 1.00pm – 10.00pm About the Role We are recruiting a Powder Coater on behalf of our client, a well-established sheet metal company based in Buntingford. This is a temp to perm, full-time role offering stable weekday work and the opportunity to join a busy production environment. You will begin on a day shift for training before moving to a permanent afternoon shift with an additional shift allowance. This role may also suit candidates searching for positions such as Paint Sprayer, Industrial Sprayer, Finishing Operative, Production Operative, or individuals with transferable skills from manufacturing, fabrication, automotive spraying, or metal finishing environments. What You’ll Do Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning and masking Apply powder coating using spray equipment to a high standard Monitor coating thickness and ensure a consistent finish Load and unload items into curing ovens following correct processes Carry out visual quality checks on finished products Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe working area Work as part of a team to meet production targets What We’re Looking For Previous powder coating experience is essential Strong attention to detail and quality standards Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic Ability to work independently and within a team Understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing or workshop setting Ability to commute to Buntingford Who Might Suit This Role This position is ideal for someone with experience in powder coating or a similar spraying or finishing role.
