Junior Administrator / Administration Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a motivated Junior Administrator / Administration Assistant looking to develop their career in office administration. This role offers excellent training and support with the chance to grow into a valued member of the team.

SALARY: up to £12.21 per Hour + Benefits

LOCATION: Smethwick, West Midlands (100% Office Based)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent


JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior Administrator / Administration Assistant who is eager to learn and develop new skills.

As a Junior Administrator / Administration Assistant you will support the smooth running of office and finance administration while gaining experience with Microsoft Office and Sage software.

The Junior Administrator / Administration Assistant role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and enthusiasm to grow into a more senior position over time, becoming a key member of the team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

* Supporting Office Administration: Assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks and filing
* Booking In Deliveries: Learning how to log and process incoming stock and materials
* Preparing Documentation: Helping to raise despatch notes and invoices
* Finance Support: Assisting with credit notes, purchase ledger, and Sage 50 accounts under supervision
* Credit Card Reconciliation: Supporting the finance team with reconciliations
* Sorting Post: Distributing incoming and outgoing mail
* Customer Service: Assisting at the trade counter and liaising with colleagues and customers
* Developing Skills: Taking on more responsibility as knowledge and confidence grow


REQUIREMENTS

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator at all levels
* A willingness to learn and develop new skills
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
* Experience using Sage 50 or similar accounting software
* An interest in office administration or finance support
