Overview
Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking an exceptional and driven Managed Equipment Service (MES) Development Lead to spearhead the creation of a major, multi-year MES programme, initially centred on theatres and the cardiac catheterisation laboratory. This is a high‑profile leadership role at the heart of a complex transformation initiative that will shape a procurement expected to exceed £20 m over the contract term.
Responsibilities
* Provide senior strategic leadership in developing both outline and full business cases, ensuring full alignment with national, regulatory, and organisational standards.
* Work closely with internal teams and external partners to lead structured pre‑procurement market engagement, test assumptions, inform commercial strategy, and secure best value.
* Establish and oversee robust governance arrangements to support a high‑value procurement programme, ensuring risks are well‑managed and decision‑making is transparent, evidence‑based, and tightly controlled.
Qualifications
* Specialist with deep expertise in complex business case development, programme leadership, and commercial engagement.
* Proven track record of leading large‑scale programmes, shaping compelling business cases, and working confidently with markets and regulators.
* Strong credibility, assurance, and strategic insight necessary to deliver outcomes for King's Mill Hospital.
