Hourly Salary: £22.91 per hour
Hours: 38 per week | Overtime Available | £2000 joining bonus
The Role of the HGV Auto Electrician
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Electrician / Auto Electrician to join a busy and well‑established engineering team working on modern bus and coach fleets. This is a great opportunity to work in a safety‑critical transport environment, maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Auto Electrician
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on HGV / PSV vehicles
* Work on wiring systems, CANbus, multiplex systems and ECUs
* Carry out inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance
* Support with vehicle diagnostics to minimise downtime
* Respond to in‑service defects and breakdowns where required
* Complete job cards and compliance documentation accurately
* Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and company standards
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as an Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician
* Experience working on HGV, PSV, Bus or Coach vehicles
* Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
* Knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to health & safety and high‑quality standards
