We are looking for Technicians with expertise in working with wood and/or creative applications of small metalwork to support our excellent technical provision. The role is casual, with hours available on an ad hoc or sessional basis. We have several casual positions available, so applications from individuals with skills in woodworking or small metalwork are welcome, as well as those with skills in both areas.
The technical team, workshops, studios, and resources they manage are key to the undergraduate student experience. The team manages the technical provision of YGDC, using equipment and space within the School in a system that ensures fairness, enhances safety, and promotes creativity, learning, and student-focused enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise creative processes and practices to facilitate student learning.
* Demonstrate techniques and processes.
* Coordinate requirements and procurement of materials and equipment.
* Develop personal skills and knowledge to support the student experience.
* Ensure safe practices by implementing the School's Health and Safety policies.
