A bit about the role
We are Forest, the bikes that look like trees! We are London’s most sustainable shared eBike operator. We bridge the gap between affordability and sustainability, using our advertising revenue to offer all users 10 minutes free cycling daily.
We’re looking for a Supply Chain and Procurement Coordinator to take charge of a crucial role, overseeing our inventory, nurturing supplier relationships and streamlining logistics. You will collaborate closely with Operations and Finance teams to ensure seamless, cost-efficient and sustainable procurement.
Whilst our operations are currently focused in London, we are working towards international expansion. For the right candidate, this position is an excellent opportunity for progression as our business scales and we grow our procurement team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Inventory Management: Maintain thorough oversight of all inventory and stock levels to guarantee uninterrupted availability of parts and materials for workshop repairs, using our management system and working within the stock room.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality parts at the best prices. Create reports, analyse data and trends to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Logistics Coordination: Take ownership of the full logistics supply chain by working closely with shipping agents to ensure just-in-time delivery and sustainability in transportation methods.
* Supply Chain Optimisation:Work with our Operations Research & Development Team to identify preferred suppliers based on criteria such as cost-effectiveness, sustainability, durability, and reputation and negotiate terms to optimise procurement outcomes.
* Financial Reporting: Work closely with the Finance team to track and forecast costs, manage invoices, and ensure efficient financial transactions with suppliers and partners.
* Professional Development:This role will work directly with the leadership team, especially with the COO and CFO. You will need to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. You will pursue opportunities for professional development and training to enhance skills and expertise in the field.
Who you are:
* You have 2+ years experience working in procurement, inventory coordination or supply chain/logistics
* You are obsessed with organisation and love finding ways to make processes more efficient
* You thrive when multitasking and lean into taking responsibility for different tasks
* You pride yourself on your attention to detail and have the ability to foresee future needs.
* You take to new software quickly and are efficient in using Excel/Google Sheets
* You can adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic and evolving industry
* You feel confident explaining to others and enforcing the correct procedures
* You are curious, you don’t just accept the status quo but actively try to work with others to improve how things are done
